Sun....the grand old man of world

I see the Sun everyday. Everyone of us do. Some look at it and imagine a painting they can draw with it,some curse it for the unbearable heat it gives out when spending time under it becomes impossible. Very busy persons look at it with pleading eyes 'dont set, my boss is gonna screw me if i dont complete this by today!'...and some plainly avoid it by spending time inside their cozy homes.
But have we ever thought that its the same sun which comes up every morning to greet us,the same sun which set last day marking the end of your day. The same sun comes for you to begin your day.
But this sun has loads of stories to tell. It has been doing the same routine since the dawn of life and even before....
It has seen the tears and joys of everyone...its the same for everyone. It doesnt shine more for rich and less for poor...coz rich and poor equally sweat under it.
It has seen many world wars. It marked the end of many wars and the beginning of it. It has seen the celebrations following every victory and seen the tears shed by the defeated. It has heard many untold stories and seen big men crying at thier loss. It has seen the lovers secretly running away mad in their love and some conquering everything with their love and some losing everything for the same. For some sinners it marks the end of their life and for some a huge new day of opportunity. Everything is obvious under the sun. No fear can touch us when sun shines above us to lighten our path for the whole day!
It has seen the guilt that one experiences after a big fight with their loved ones. It has also seen many silent joyous moments by a winner who won against his best pal which he couldn't show otherwise to protect his friendship.
Its the same sun which woke our ancestors and showed them their world and they made it better so that we could reside at peace. At times when we harm our home earth, its best buddy,it finishes the wrath by drying up our water reserves.
So next time you see the sun, remember the memories and stories attached to this majestic clock of world from years and years to come!

A Short Story Of a Small Change:)

This is my story when I returned to Alleppey from Nagpur.
I loved summer vacation as i could spend loads of time with cousins doing nothing but only playing! I always dreamt of staying at Alleppey and not going back. Atlast we decided to shift to Alleppey!yay!
After summer vacation comes...SCHOOL! The place i was quite comfortable with till i came here. All the time raining and classes full of mud! Many students in one class made it more worse. I had language problems. I didnt know to talk much in malayalam. Back there I was the one who used to threaten the new students in my class. I was quite confident till I entered class,so many big girls were there. I felt like a small being among them. I felt them like my seniors more than my classmates. First day went fine only one girl talked to me. From next day onwards I waited for games period, which was my favourite! And finally it came, just one games period for one week!damn!where the hell am I??I was just 11 and I was not supposed to play:(:(
Atlast that period came. I ran along with boys to outside. Not a single girl came out. I turned back and saw them sitting in class. I went back to ask them whats wrong? They stared at me in disbelief and said 'Try to study something girl, why going out and playing? Its so sunny here, you'l grow black.' Thats it??Thats why they dont go out and play?I said I wanna play. But no girl came with me. Atlast I gave up. I sat with them studying. I felt like crying. This is hell!
I went slowly to see what they all do in class. There were many groups. I approached one group where everyone was speaking english. I sat next to them asked what they all are doing. They smiled at me and said they all have a notebook where they write down news from newspaper,GK questions and all the knowledgable things that comes their way! Sounded intresting, time to grab some knowledge:D. Then one girl asked me what I wanted to become?I fumbled with words as I never happened to think about my future in a serious way. I just said an architect as I loved making sketaches of homes. They said they all want to become doctors. I didnt like being a doctor. Seemed boring to me with so many patients and doing the same thing all over again the whole day. But their dream, I had no voice, twas nice to discuss about your future for sometime. Then exams came. I fared really bad in exams as usual, I never bothered to sit for long and study and get good marks in exams. I used to dream about my name being called and me goin to stage to recieve prize for being a topper but these dreams used to doze me off more.
Marks came,I didnt fail! Its true I never fail and i keep wondering how? I always managed just pass in all subjects though. After we got all the papers, many students came rushing to me and asked all my marks and they started taking out total. My marks were not good. I liked many concerned about my marks. They calculated, gave me a grave look and went away sayin 'you have very low marks'. It was nothing new to me. But then i had lost all friends I made. I got bad rank 25 something in a classof strenght 50. I was glad that they put rank to each and every student here. Good thing.
Next exam came, I was determined to do good and get back my friends. I did well and got 9th rank in class!wow! Atlast I was studying. My teacher liked it and made me the class captain and that again helped me in knowing my classmates in a better way. Back there I longed to become my class captain as I love to beat others and our madam used to make the new student the class captain every year. After madam went i used to send them back to their seat and took over the charge. No one spoke against this until one girl named Jyothi,a new admission, who fought with me saying she is the class captain. I threatned her. We two had a big fight and she compalined to madam about me. Madam summoned me and I was made to stand on bench for the whole day. Jyothi felt sorry for me and eventually we became best friends when she allowed me to beat students on her behalf! I enjoyed it. She was my best friend. And now here I am chosen as the leader! But beating was not allowed sadly coz they will call their parents and complain! I dared touch a single person here.
Next games period I asked all girls to come out and play. My friends came after a lot of persuation. We played a little that day. From then on I never saw girls sitting in class during games period except a few who were so concerned about their looks and yes now those 'beauty queens' are married;) good for them. And all my friends ended up becoming engineers and me a medical student. I learned a lot to give up your dreams for others or at times to fulfill someone else's dream. But I will live upto my dream, its just a matter of time:).
